Budget Response

Wednesday, 23 March 2011 17:03

Conservative Way Forward (CWF), the campaign for traditional conservative principles of liberty, security and free-market democracy, has today responded to the Budget presented by Chancellor George Osborne.

Mark Allatt, General Secretary of Conservative Way Forward, said:

It is great news that the Chancellor has simplified the tax system by scrapping the pretence that National Insurance is anything other than Income Tax by another name. Simplifying taxes makes them easier to pay, harder to evade and cheaper to administrate – and it makes the taxman be a little more honest about how much he takes. This must only be the start, there are plenty more cons and complexities to iron out.

New Website launches

Tuesday, 01 March 2011 00:00

The new CWF website launched in March 2011. The design is by James Hayes of Evolve-DDM and is part of a wide-ranging programme of updating and improving CWF communications. Karen Allen played a key part in the development of the site and commented, "Following the launch of the new CWF logo and our exciting programme of events and campaigns in 2010, we wanted a website that will support our growth and plans for 2011 and beyond. The new website is more interactive, easier to use and richer in content than the previous version. We hope our members will enjoy using it and visit regularly."

Amongst the new features, members will be able to register and log on to view a compete gallery of event photographs and a full range of campaign materials and articles.
